Paul greases the roller bearings before the first trial run.
Several of the C2 group were also active on the loco roster during the week. Here Paul drives Blanche into Minffordd, photographed by Chris on the Merddin.

Sam and Dave 2 fit the first coupling rod, with advice from Rob.
The first test run as a 2-4-2, with just the middle sections of the coupling rods fitted. Sam drives the diesel while Dave observes and checks for smooth running.
The second test run, this time as an 0-6-2, with just the front sections of the coupling rods added.
The third test run, now as a full 0-8-0 with all the coupling rods fitted.

The pistons and slidebars cleaned up ready for the next stage of the motion work.
More progress on cleaning and painting the boiler.
Front cab support brackets are now painted red and nearly ready to fit.
